The Maintenance Workforce
Our Facilities & Maintenance Workforce is made up of skilled Aboriginal employees who are trained and supported through ongoing work at CfAT.
The team provides a wide range of maintenance services across the Desert Knowledge Precinct for CfAT HQ and our site partners.
Electrical Test & Tag
Our qualified crew members provide reliable Test and Tag services to commercial sites in Alice Springs and remote communities, ensuring electrical equipment is safe, compliant, and meets Australian workplace safety regulations.
We help businesses meet their obligations by testing and tagging common electrical items such as power tools, appliances, and extension leads, reducing the risk of electrical hazards.
General Building & Grounds Maintenance
Our team delivers a broad range of building and grounds maintenance services to keep commercial and residential sites safe, functional, and looking their best.
Services include;
- Land clearing and mowing
- Fire break creation and maintenance to reduce bushfire risk
- Fencing and landscaping
- Weed control and reticulation works
- Tree pruning for safety and site aesthetics
- Rubbish disposal and general site clean-ups
Machinery & Tools
Our crew has access to a well-maintained fleet of machinery and tools to support a wide range of maintenance tasks, including:
- Excavator with post hole digger attachment
- Tractor and slasher for large-scale mowing and clearing
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) for safe work at heights
- Ride-on mower and whipper snippers for grounds maintenance
- Truck with crane for lifting and transporting heavy items
- Range of trailers for waste removal and site clean-up
- Fully equipped vehicles with gardening tools, bins, and gear for on-site efficiency
